I am visiting an area of the middle east perhaps, walking through an old town complex, with men and women and children everywhere. the most beautiful house with string lights hanging down from a huge two times double doorway garage type door, hangs from one of the houses and the young girls or women there are talking to the tourist men, giving them treats and gifts. it all feels and seems friendly. the person I am with, I can't make out who it is but they keep telling me to ask to take a photo of the hanging string lights decoration, and telling me to ask the young women if I can come into the house to see the inside because I'm so enchanted by it. but I keep refusing saying it's very rude and I'm not doing it. suddenly, there is a lot of commotion, with all the middle eastern men and boys herded down the steps of this walled city complex, to the bottom of the road, at gunpoint. it's almost like were walking through a city, like in alladin, with the dusty, sandy streets and homes but so close together it seems almost like a maze that's walled in. I end up outside this house I'm admiring, watching, my friend , although it could be my sister, with me. they decide to check what's happening and leave, never returning. my mother is around further up the steps. as I walk to her I notice a woman in one room who has jumped out of the closet, dressed in a full niqab type clothes but very patchwork Indian and colourful. she is helping a small child then hides back in the closet. I understand now this is some sort of terror attack. I head back down the stairs and the young boys come round the corner scared, asking if the camera crews have left and asking for oil. I tell them I will find out. I go to my mother who tells me that they cameras are gone and if the boy wants oil it must be because he is hungry, although she doesn't seem convinced and suggests to me that they will use the oil to build a bomb. as I return down the stairs to tell the men and young boys that the cameras are gone, I hear lots of shouting and crying. I get as far as the home with the string lights and head up a small alley/door way opposite into a tiny room that overlooks a free road, outside the complex. there I see my parents being taken away, they are being set free or forcibly removed. I line up a few pairs of small shoes against the wall as I watch this, one of them being my nephew's shoes. I then see one of the niqab wearing women holding onto my 8 year olds nephew, who is crying and screaming and desperately trying to get away. he screams Papa bear after my father, which happens to be the name my ex and I used to refer to him as when we got our cats together. I can see from the window that my parents are being dragged away but they are not fighting. and a little boy similar age to my newohrw is being returned. my nephew has a looks utterly terrified, crying and screaming, not understanding that he is kept as a hostage. not realising I am in the complex still and can see this. I look around to what's in the small room, only a box of small pins, the sort you out on a bag or hat, presumably sold as a souvenir. I decide I have to do something to free my nephew and grab some of the pins, unwrapping them from the wrappers.
